Low glycemic index meals
Made a couple tasty and low glycemic index meals lately that I thought I would share.....sorry these are
Not all vegetarian :)
Here is a recipe for a healthy banana bread:

A simple and yummy meal: porkchops, asparagus, mashed sweet potatoes. The mashed sweet potatoes were so easy to make....just cut into chunks and boil for about 20 minutes and then drain and stir with a happy spoon :) the potatoes just turn into the right mashed potatoe consistency!
Flavorful turkey burgers - mix 3/4 pound lean ground turkey, 1/3 cup shredded cheese, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 tablespoon ketchup.....then spray pan with cooking spray and cook until done! Enjoy :)

Good to know how easy it is to make mashed sweet potatoes. Be sure to try them microwaved, too....very good!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the easy meal ideas, Jennifer. I'm going to make the turkey burgers and mashed sweet potatos this week. Claire loves sweet potatos so I'm sure she'll like them mashed!
