No 'Poo (Shampoo!)

For the last week, I have been going "no 'poo" again! Every other day, I use a little baking soda to wash my hair and an apple cider vinegar rinse. It feels good to not have to use all those chemicals/parabens/sulfates/fragrances on my hair. Once your scalp knows not to produce so much oil (from washing your hair with harsh oil-stripping sulfate shampoo everyday), you're supposed to be able to wash your hair only a couple days a week, and sometimes only once a week (unless of course you get very sweaty during a workout or something!). Your hair adjusts and it does not get greasy. Best of all, apple cider vinegar and baking soda are so cheap...just think of all the money I can save by not buying hair products if I can keep this up!

For soap in the shower, I always try to use something from Naturally Yours or use Dr. Bronner's.

My complexion has never been better either! I have not worn any makeup this week at work, and I think that might be why. I don't know if I'm trying to go more natural or this is just my way of "letting myself go"! Hahaha...I hope it's not the latter!

  1. When I was a kid we always used apple cider vinegar for a rinse! I think I even used it on you girls. We also used Sta Puff fabric softener as kids but I don't think I would recommend it....must have been cheaper than hair conditioner!
